Pakuma Choroka K1
"This clever bag withstands shocks using a Nasa-developed high density foam which holds your laptop safely in place. It also includes a strap to keep it steady while you're cycling."
Pakuma Choroka K3LT
This cheery laptop bag evokes memories of the classic Mini Cooper's bonnet stripes. The shiny red tarpaulin-style fabric is waterproof, and the clever design of the main flap overlaps the zips. A small, external rear pocket gives access to smaller items. Laptops up to 14.1in are well protected but we found that 15.4in models were a tight fit. There are lots of extra pockets of varying sizes inside for storing bits and pieces. The strap is adjustable and has a big shoulder pad. It also has an stabiliser strap for cyclists. it's a great bag if you need to carry a small laptop around, and better still if you're a big Mini fan.
Pakuma Choroka K3LT
The Choroka K3LT is Pakuma's first fully shower-resistant laptop bag designed for all-weather conditions. Large enough to fit a 15.4-inch laptop, it comes in two distinct colours. The K3LT encompasses all the latest technologies, including YKK Zips, Duraflex buckles
and hardworking woven straps designed to give comfort and support.

Bright? Check. Garish? Check. Whether you like or hate the Choroka's loud styling, you'll never miss it in a pile of laptop bags. It's a hardwearing piece of kit - Pakuma claims it's shower resistant, and the buckles and webbed shoulder strap are built to last. Open it up and you'll find a wealth of pockets and nooks to house all types of technology

But we'd still spend our money on the Pakuma Choroka K2 this month. The 15.4in internal laptop "cocoon" alone offers more protection than most entire bags, and the expandable design means the other main section can be pulled out to fit a vast amount of equipment. There are two small accessory pouches on the front and a further two inside, while the combination of Valcro and buckles will keep the bag secure on the most violent of commutes; there's also an extra waist strap for cyclists. Style-wise, the green and brown of our sample is trendy without being to flashy, plus a K1 version is available for 17in notebooks. The strap is reasonably comfortable and the bag is padded enough to carry for long periods, so at £32 it just edges the TechAir.
